Life as a Washingtonian

Dude! It’s Thursday. What is going on with this internship? The days seem to fly by and I have no control over it! I mean… I don’t want the internship to end but I want to go home, but I don’t want to leave, but I want to see my parents and friends. What a DILEMMAAA.

Anyway, this week was pretty exciting. Shall we get started on the update? This is my life as a Washingtonian.

Monday… again? Goodness.  I didn’t do anything today at work. I watched a video on chimpanzees so that was kind of exciting I guess. lol.

These are the doors that lead to the EP (Executive Producer) area of NGT. Johns office is to the right of that conference room.

Check it out! National Geographic TV at NGT all day long!

Today I transcribed some footage from the weekend. Yayy transcribing interviewsss.

Today I thought I’d photograph my morning ride/walk to work! I mean, I haven’t done that yet…and I kind should. Here are some pictures from along the way.

Along the ride somewhere between Vermont Ave and Logan Circle, there is a house with this “the Music Box” sign in the yard. Haha. I wasn’t able to get the entire sign. I shall try again!

Thomas Circle and the park in the center! Woot!

Heading towards Mst. This is a view from Thomas Circle.

Explorer Symposium! Day 1!!!

Nice set up guys. V-e-r-y nice.

My 2nd panel. I didn’t get pictures from the first one.

This is actually heading away from work on 16th St. I was going to Target to get some milk!

I had NO idea there was a Goya section in Target. That’s kind of awesome… pretty awesome..

Waiting at the bus stop with 2 cops. I feel safer already…

After leaving Target there were two women at the bus stop who were talking about “young teens” these days getting pregnant and causing crime. They were talking about a guy who hurt someone or killed someone or robbed someone… interesting stuff.

Today, I was in the symposium ALL DAY LONG!

Good news is: I got pictures of each panel!! Some of the information is embargoed so I couldn’t talk about it.  I feel so privy to this information, dude!!!

So, that was my Thursday! Tons of fun, yes? I mean… my brain is complete applesauce but that’s okay.  I learned a lot and really want to do something awesome with my life! I can’t wait to see what the future has in store of each and every one of us!

I’ll update you on the weekend and you’ll learn if I did anything super exciting! 🙂

*~*~* See the world. Love the world. *~*~*
